Steering

People with thalidomide-related disabilities or without arms often find it difficult to steer a bicycle. But now there's the PedalPilot rehabilitation bicycle. This allows you to cycle again despite thalidomide-related disabilities and without arms.

With the PedalPilot, you steer solely with your legs. You steer by pivoting the front frame left or right with your legs. Arms are not needed for riding.


Fun factor

The PedalPilot is ideal for people with arm or hand disabilities. But it's also very attractive for people without disabilities, because driving and steering is great fun. It's also easy to learn and intuitive to drive.


seat

The front of the PedalPilot is easily accessible. You can simply get in and take a seat. You sit comfortably in the seat, lean back in the seatback, pedal, and enjoy the ride.


brakes

You brake the PedalPilot using a coaster brake. This coaster brake effectively and safely stops the tricycle's front wheel, preventing it from tipping over during braking. While the coaster brake alone is generally sufficient, legal regulations require a second brake. Therefore, the PedalPilot also features a knee-operated front brake.


circuit

The PedalPilot has an 8-speed internal gear hub. This requires very little maintenance. You operate the gear shifter with your knee.


Power and speed

The PedalPilot doesn't just look sporty, it is. For a trike, the PedalPilot is quite light and has low air resistance. It's fast on flat terrain and powerful uphill.


Baggage

The PedalPilot is incredibly versatile. There's plenty of space behind the seat to carry luggage. As a tricycle, it's stable and easy to load and unload. This makes it ideal as a cargo bike for your shopping or as a touring bike.
